Radiographic Testing Levels 1 and 2 Course (Combined)

Course Duration: 10-Days (80 hours)

0830hrs to 1730hrs Daily

Course Objectives:

This course satisfies the formal training element of the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-105 and NAS 410 / EN 4179 and is suitable for engineers and technicians at all levels of experience that require formal training for qualification in this subject.

The training programme consists of both theoretical and practical hands-on application, allowing the student time to obtain a good foundation in this method of NDT by practicing a variety of inspection techniques under the supervision of qualified instructor(s) using different methods and techniques of radiographic testing. Students will also have the opportunity to inspect actual aircraft components and structures, as applicable to their employer's products.

Standards and specifications associated with Radiographic Testing in the Aerospace Sector will be introduced and discussed in this course.

The aim of this course is to provide students with an adequate theoretical and practical knowledge of the Radiographic Testing method including calibration checks, exposure techniques, interpretation/evaluation techniques, and writing of NDT instructions/test reports to prepare them for qualification examinations in accordance with their employer’s NDT Written Practice.

A comprehensive topical outline will be provided to the students during the course.

All students will be continuously assessed during the course by progress tests and homework, together with a theoretical and practical End-of-Course examination, as applicable.
